Based on the information we have, Camp Sunnen will not be able
to host our Spring Fellowship this weekend. Camp Warren Levis, Camp
Joy and Camp Vandeventer are all hosting other functions this
weekend so we can not move the event to one of those facilities.
Our Lodge Advisor has officially canceled this event. Please share
this information with as many OA members as you can, and contact
our Lodge Advisor with any questions or concerns not addressed
here.
Flood waters peaked at 12 feet above the low water bridge; the
whole valley at Camp was flooded; water got into the basement of
the lodge; there is no drinkable water as the flooding came through
the pump house and the water is now mud colored; and the road was
washed out along the golf course. The county graded the road and
there is limited access, but the road bed is now loose and could
wash into the golf course if there is any more rain (which means we
might get in but may not be able to get out). Forecasts for the
Potosi Area indicate rain through Saturday.
Please note the following:
1.) All payments will be transferred to cover fees for the Fall
Reunion. If you are unable to attend the Fall Reunion you should
request a refund.
2.)Ordeal candidates scheduled to take their ordeal this weekend
will be allowed to do so at the Fall Reunion (September 18-20,
2009).
3.)All Brotherhood candidates may take their brotherhood either at
summer camp (in-Council only), or at the Fall Reunion.
