Sash Etiquette
The sash is an important symbol to each member, and it should be worn with respect.
- The sash should always be worn at official functions of the order:
- Spring Fellowship, Fall Reunion & Winter Banquet
- Section & National OA Events (Conclave, NOAC, etc)
- Lodge Service & Work Days (when possible)
- Special activities & assignments of the Order of the Arrow
- The sash should not be worn at:
- Troop meetings
- Troop Courts of Honor
- Eagle Courts of Honor
- Council & District activities
- Camping activities
- The sash should never be worn folded or draped over your belt
- The sash should never be altered in any way including signatures, pins or patches
- Legends of any kind and adding other materials, including beadwork, are also not permitted
- Only currently registered members of the Order of the Arrow may wear any insignia of the order
- The Lodge pocket flap indicates current paid membership in your Lodge and the Order
- Neither pocket flap or sash should be worn if your dues are not current
